I am a hard core such technology-driven person. I'm the guy people come in looking for technical solutions, computers, laptops, printers and even Digital Cameras digital. My first exposure (no pun intended) with this camera when my father returned to my life separate, and to overcompensate because of my life for many years, he gave me a Digital Camera. After saying "no" for many times and I felt I started to offend, I took the camera. Let me summarize this device in three little letters ….. WOW! I can not believe how this unit is easy to use. This camera will do two things for you. # 1 which is drawn to the hobby of photography, and No. 2 that make you feel and missed his vocation, and should have been a professional photographer. It is very likely to participate in photo contest! I was impressed by the photos I took. I tell myself … "Do you really take this picture?" If you get the camera, be sure to get two batteries and a number of Memory Cards required for you to find many photos taken with this camera. I have used many digital cameras, tight teeth and this!

Large picture Start
I am a newbie to photography and this is my first SLR. It was a great camera since I bought it there 2 years, very easy to use and very powerful. I can not see they want a better camera when you start like me. There are many cameras better, but I can not justify the cost of what little I know about photography.
The software is not very big but work. The only thing wrong with the camera is that makes you want to go out and start spending lots of money on lenses and other equipment. I would say that photography is a hobby very healthy, but .. Which does not go out and take pictures of beautiful sunset?

For their time and prices (at the time), a fantastic camera. 6.3 MP is more than enough work for most amateur and semi-professional (non-studio), and the device works very well with what really matters: the sunset of Canon lenses. Battery this camera is very good. The "shutter lag" (Between when you press the button and when the camera takes the picture) is pretty much non-existent and the only delay I have is when I am shooting multiple photos in RAW format. As most photographers know, the focus is almost more important than the body, and outside of the lenses Leica does not believe that nothing really competes with the Canon line. The 18-55 came with this camera is sufficient for casual work … I used on the beach, and hiking with my dog when I do not want my larger, more expensive, higher quality lenses. But for $ 75 or less, you can have a 50mm lens EOS 1.8, which will complement the 18-55 and, especially for night photography.
My only complaint about this camera is its ability illuminate yards out in the dark. When I RAW is not a big problem because I can fix it in Photoshop, but most of all that fire inside, unless you manually Mess with the white balance each time, has an orange tint which is interesting for the first 200 shots fire, then later overturned. I think the most advanced EOS models that have emerged since 2004, stabilizing around this color problem, and also help a bit with the lag between shots RAW … but for the money, this camera is excellent, and much, much higher than, for example, Olympus digital cameras exquivalent (for a comparable price). The difference, as far as I'm concerned, is absolute advantage in the quality of the Canon lens. You can use a body of high-end consumer like this, use a piece of glass Canon professional (objective) and take great pictures. I would not invest in a system that does not also an excellent quality of the lens.

I researched quite large before engage in the Digital Rebel. I wanted a Digital Slr camera mainly for family photos but also for astrophotography. I enrolled in many forums of this unit is the most recommended digital astrophotography (not CCD) and the most cost-effective in all camera goal.
I intend to modify this camera to take advantage astrophography. This means carefully removing the IR filter included in order obtain a better astronomical. This means that, not being able to take pictures land (use) following photos reddish research without the IR filter. Therefore, will probably be the Digital Rebel XT for family photos.

A real treat
I had my EOS Digital Rebel for over a year and could not be more pleased with his performance. I added a handful of feed, which provides images of weight and vertical, taking functions, and the camera feels like a professional. I also added a Canon 100-400mm USM offers superb close-ups.
I used the camera in everything from weddings to wildlife the portrait photos of products and I am very pleased with the results. Wonderfully clear images.
For optimal color brightness and contrast points of view, however, you must use a photo software to improve instead of corrections normally done by development labs for Photos of the film.
If I had to make a digital purchase today, however, will probably opt for the Digital Rebel XT model which increases Resolution 8 MB and offers some light updates the measurement technology.
