In December 2006 we told readers about a guarantee extended for the Leica Digilux 2 digital camera, which covers the problems with the CCD image sensor. Because the Leica Digilux 2 is a variant of the design Panasonic Lumix DMC-LC1 is not surprising that some digital cameras LC1 may suffer the same problem.
Panasonic Canada has published a notice in their customer support page that displays a limited number of 2004 models of digital Camera Dmc-LC1 in a specific range serial numbers affected. The range of serial numbers and G4SYxxxxx A4SYxxxxx. the Spanish customers are asked to call Panasonic Canada toll toll-free call center at 1-800-561-5505 for help in organizing the repair Free.

Since Sony is the manufacturer of the sensor origin for products of all parties mentioned above (and being given the wide range of products they produce) that should not be a surprise that Sony has, by far the largest number of affected products. This should not be considered an indication of a deficiency inherent Sony products beyond the sensors currently suspended due.
