Epson Stylus

Evaluation of the Epson Stylus Pro 9800: his first year in retrospect
I think there is much less negative than positive, I'll treat them first.
1. You must make an exchange ink change ink photo black-black matte black. For a brief period offers the Epson Stylus Pro 4000, which was 8 inks including both matte black and photo black, there was no need to change the black ink dark if it has changed on Matte Photo paper. This new generation still uses 8-ink, but he added a light light black ink instead of offering the two varieties of dark black ink. The ink additional light black light allowed the printer to produce subtle shades tones and finer detail in the highlight box, but having to share the dark black ink to optimize printing on matte paper photo rather than a nuisance and an unfortunate loss of money.
2. There are quirks with the LCD menu on the printer. One in particular, has often with a message that says: "The cleaning power? Y or N. After being led many people choose "yes" This system, therefore being executing a cleaning cycle to lose a lot of ink and maintenance tank capacity. I had quite a number of customers annoyed by this situation and we hope Epson quickly remedied with a firmware solution.
3. black ink density does not improve not when using matte black ink on matte papers. The new K3 inks made a great leap forward in providing richer blacks for using photo black ink on different types of surface photo documents. Ink K3 Matte matte black does not seem to have improved black density, and some Users report that the matte black is less dense matte black matt ink previous AAU. I think the blacks to be the same density as the previous point, but I expected more of the K3 matte black ink.
4. Epson designed the new 220 ml Ink Cartridges to fit inside berry ink, unlike the last 220 ml cartridges, which has reached the point where you can not close the lid. Well, you can close the lid with the new cartridges, but the new cartridges are under pressure and may even leak. This led us to always check if cartridges for leaks before shipping. If you use the 220 ml of new cartridges, check for leaks as soon as they arrive.
5. A final negative while not affecting the quality of the printer is that for nearly seven months of last year, traders like me who focus primarily on the range of Epson printers, Epson had no sale. Epson announces new printers have stopped providing models precedents, and could not send the new generation of printers so seemed like an eternity. Our group has become even more strong a few notches.
It is in the negative, so here are some highlights positive:
1. The printer is about 2.5 times faster than the previous generation, but Epson has not sacrificed quality for speed. Epson built the new model with a head Printing is more than twice the size of the print head before, so more than twice the speed.
2. Much time and source confusion gun controls and manual printhead alignments have been simplified and is now done automatically at the push of a button.
3. Metamerism and bronzing, which had major problems with previous AAU inks, have been virtually eliminated. If you do not know what it is, consider yourself lucky I know you will not have that with the new K3 ink printers.
4. Deeper blacks richer for the use of photo-black on the surface of photo papers. This represents a significant improvement over previous models and inks.
5. A new mode of art in black and white in the driver that produces beautiful white and black.
6. improved range of colors without breaking the earth and improving the density of the dark, but still a nice addition to the palette.
In my opinion, the positives far outweigh on the negatives and this new generation of Epson Stylus Pro take their rightful place in the trace log Epson awarded a higher value and exceptional quality, large format inkjet printers.
