What Zoom Lens should I buy for my Nikon D40x?
I have a 18-55 that came with my camera and I am now looking for a Use Optical Zoom to personal image of my husband play football and to our children one day. I do not want to spend over $ 200. Do I get a 55-200 or 70-300? Should I get a Nikon or Sigma lens? Thank you!
This is easy. Get the 55-200mm. This is because it is an AF-S. The 70-300mm which is less than $ 200 billion is only one objective, but not an AF-S, so it is not autofocus with the D40x. Nikon makes two 55-200mm. One is only an AF-S. The other is an AF-S Vibration Reduction, a type of image stabilization. If you are in your budget, you should get the 55-200mm VR. The price is usually around $ 200 VR version and about $ 160 without the VR. I say go for the VR, you can get better pictures in low light – A chance to blur. lesser extent, for Nikon lenses … is generally better than Sigma. Nikon seems to be more neutral color. Sigma lenses are very individual good, however, that the lens 80-400mm optically stabilized. You have to evaluate a particular purpose, against the Nikon equivalent to determine buy. Sometimes there is no equivalent of Nikon, who makes the buying decision easy.
